Alexander Exterminating, through our Level-1-Certified Infrared Thermographer utilizing a camera, offers non-contact, non-destructive thermal imaging services for any number of applications. We offer both standalone imaging services as well as integrated imaging/pest control services.

Tip: An infrared camera measures surface temperatures and the study of these thermal patterns across the surface of an object is known as “infrared thermography”.

Our thermography services extend to: Pest Management, Mold Remediation, Building Envelope Inspections and Insulated Flat Roof Inspections…..

Pest Management

Non-invasive pest management and critter control:

  • Detect pests and/or conditions favorable to their existence such as latent moisture.
  • Helps detect wood-destroying organisms such as insects and fungus that damage structures by feeding on or nesting in wooden construction materials.
  • Facilitates locating unwanted live insects, animals or organisms in your walls, crawlspace, or attic, such as bats, mice, squirrels or honey bees.

Mold Remediation:

  • Helps detect wood-destroying organisms, such as insects and fungi, that damage structures by feeding on wooden construction materials.
  • Locate latent moisture on drywall and carpet. Identifies latent moisture within styrene insulation of the exterior walls.
  • Detect the source of mold and mildew odors.

Building Envelope Inspections:

  • Detect air and water leaks in walls including EIFS (exterior insulation and finish system) walls, ceilings, and floors.
  • Locate useless mold/water-laden insulation.
  • Locate latent moisture on drywall and carpet
  • Identify latent moisture within styrene insulation of the exterior walls.
  • Detect the source of mold and mildew odors.
  • Identify cold-air movement around water pipes to prevent freezing.
  • Quality assurance: helps identify poorly built structures.
  • Facilitates locating unwanted live insects, animals, or organisms in your walls, crawlspace, or attic, such as bats, mice, squirrels, and honey bees.

Insulated Flat Roof Inspections:

  • A non-invasive way to locate the source of a roof leak.
  • Quality assurance:
    • Helps identify poorly built roof structures.
    • Monitors the results of repair work.
  • Identifies trapped moisture which can lead to any of the following:
    • Energy loss due to wet insulation.
    • Added weight to roofing system.
    • Premature failure due to water damaged structural components.
